Karikuy Contest Relaunches

We are proud to announce that our annual Machu Picchu contest has just launched. The new format makes it very easy for anyone to participate as the contest is exclusive to Facebook and Twitter. Besides giving away a free Jungle Inca Trail tour, we have also thrown in the Peru Lonely Planet guide for six runners up. Enter to Win on Twitter and Facebook

Last month we were forced to suspend our initial contest  due to low participation. Perhaps we were a little ambitious in the project that required contestants to design t-shirts for us. Looking back at it I think that a contest like that can only work by targeting the artist community specifically, we’ll come back to the idea some time in the future. For now the current contest is a hit. Having launched only minutes ago we already have dozens of entries on twitter.

I wish everyone the best of luck, I think this format is going to be real fun to watch and see who wins. The contest ends on April 4th, 2011. Tell all your friends and family and you could find yourself at Machu Picchu!
