Discover the Grandeur of the Huascarán National Park

It is a well-known fact that battle has a number of national parks which are famous all around the world. In fact Pedro is home to several national parks that have been declared as world Heritage sites. 

One such park is the Huascarán National Park which is located in the central part of the Andes, in the Ancash region. The park is home to an exotic are you of animals such as the vicunas, condors and even the spectacled bears which are thought to be endangered. 

The geography of the park

The park can get very cold because it ranges from 2500 m above sea level to 6000 m. Depending on where you are, you should be prepared to wear the right kind of clothes. In other words, this park has something for everyone. 

What you should keep in mind before visiting

Unfortunately, the park is subject to a number of illegal activities and over tourism. Illegal logging, glazier retreat due to global warming, and even hydropower projects and illegal mining have all deteriorated the quality of this park. There is also an ongoing feud between the locals and the parks management.
