| What is Karikuy? |
Karikuy in Runasimi, the language of the Incas, means to "live in a light-hearted way. Karikuy as an organization borrows this ancient philosophy in the way we handle our tours and our future projects. You can read more about Karikuy and our projects by visiting the about section of the web site. |
| Why are your prices so low? |
In short, we cut out the middle men. Big international companies have many employees and a greedy boss to pay, Karikuy being a small organization deals directly with experienced tour guides to get you our low prices. Karikuy at the moment only has one employee, Julio Cesar Tello, he handles all reservations and guides the tours in Lima and on the desert coast. His good friends providing the more technical tours such as Cusco and the Colca Valley. Karikuy believes that having low prices amounts to more capital being spent on goods throughout Peru such as tapestries and souvenirs, this money then goes directly to the artisans and workers you buy from helping them with their cost of living and boosting the local economy. Karikuy profits go to the funding of our future projects. |
| Where are your main offices located? Are you legit? |
| Our main offices are located at our bed and breakfast in Lima. If your in town feel free to drop by, the address is 1613 Alonso del Rincon - Cercado de Lima. Karikuy is still a small organization and for that reason our main office is basically the founders laptop. Honestly give us a call (1-888-802-INCA) and 8 times out of 10 it will be Julio C. Tello himself that will pick up the phone and talk to you about Karikuy and our tours.
The advantages of being a small company is a very personal service with attention to detail. We want your business and for you to leave Peru with a fantastic story to tell your family and friends. It is very important to us for you to enjoy your experience in Peru so that you may come back or tell your friends about Karikuy. Only with your help will we be able to go ahead with our future projects. Karikuy is a registered company in Peru providing tours to an international and domestic audience. |
