Count The Days
You will be in Peru in no time!
Day 1
You are picked up from your hotel at 7:30 am and depart Cusco for Ollantaytambo. You drive through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas passing many small colonial towns and farms. Once at Ollantaytambo you have the chance to pick up water and snacks for the ride to Santa Teresa where you will have your lunch. You Arrive in Santa Teresa at 2:30 pm and here you will have lunch similar to the touristic menus found in Cusco.

You then continue the route on to the Hydro electric plant, once there you will board a train to take you the remainder of the way towards Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu Town, arriving at approximately 5:20pm. You will then be taken to your hostal's where you can freshen up and begin to explore the small town.

At 7:30 the group meets again to have Dinner with your guide who will give a short briefing on tomorrows schedule and what you can expect during your time at Machu Picchu. You then have the remainder of the evening to explore the town or take a dip in the thermal baths nearby.
Day 2
This morning you have the option of walking or taking a bus (not included) up to the citadel of Machu Picchu, we recommend the latter. As soon as the park opens you will be amongst the first to enter the citadel for the day, here you will enjoy the awesome sight of Machu Picchu as the Sun rises opposite the sun gate on the adjacent mountain. You will then be given a two hour guided tour of the ruins and will have some time to spend exploring the ruins on your own.

You begin to make your way down the mountain at 11 am, meeting your group at the train station at noon. There you will board the train back to the hydroelectric plant where your transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco. Make sure you buy some snacks as the ride back takes approximately 7 hours (9:30 pm).
