New Inca Trail
The New Inca Trail also known as the Alternative Inca Trail is just if not more adventurous then it's predecessor. The hike is broken up into hiking and biking as well as crossing the Urubamba on a cable car. The New Inca Trail is also available all year round unlike the Classic Inca Trail that closes in February, did we mention it is a lot easier? The trail offers it's own spectacular vistas without the congestion of its sister Inca trail. Many opt for the New Inca Trail during May - August when it is near impossible to find a spot on the Classic Inca Trail. Although the New Inca Trail may not be as popular as the Classic, it still offers a lot more in adrenaline and diversity. In short, this trail does not disappoint, nor does its climax; The Citadel of Machu Picchu.
