Aeropajitas

Aeropajitas is a Peruvian punk rock band that formed in Lima, Peru in 1994. Their style is resemblant of The Dead Kennedys, The Addicts, Klamydia, Trypes, Alkaline Trio and Stiff Little Fingers.

- The band existed first under the name Superfacientes and, later, Porka Vida. The line-up that went on to be the original formation of Aeropajitas consisted of Mario Innocent on vocals, Pedro Psikosis on guitar, Raul on bass and Xavier on drums. In March of 1994, they played their first show together at the Zarate Pub in Lima, Peru. Soon after that first performance, Mario left the band and Julio was brought in to take over lead vocal duties.

- The debut of this new line-up was at a performance at a festival at the Universidad Villarreal in 1995. Soon after, the band decided to record its first album entitled Porka Vida after their old band name. The next two years were considered by the band to be a time of great improvement and they concluded with the recording of the album Kria Kuervos which was recorded in less than a day and whose lyrics dealt heavily with economic crisis, loneliness and police revolt. The album was released in 1998.

- Between the years 1995 and 2000, Aeropajitas added second guitarist Luigi and Pedro left the band to be replaced by Eduardo. in 2000 they released a retrospective collection of songs from the years 1995-2000 entitled 95-00 and a live album, En Vivo, in 2002.

- In the past seven years, Aeropajitas has continued to play live with a new line-up which includes Macha on vocals, Gonzalo on drums, Luigi on bass, and Gonzalo and Eduardo on guitar. They have released two albums during this period, Kepoka de Mierda in 2005 and Lima Enfermedad in 2008. Although there are no current original members in the line-up, original member Xavier is a frequent collaborator on the current lyrics and music.
