Club Alianza Atlético Sullana is a Peruvian football club, located in the city of Sullana, Piura. The club was founded on January 18, 1928 and in 1988, they were promoted to the top tier of Peruvian football, the Peruvian Primera División.
History
The club plays, since 1988, in the Primera División Peruana. Alianza has never been national champions since they were promoted. The club has 2 appearances in 2 international cups. The first one was in the Copa Sudamericana 2004 where in the first round they defeated Coronel Bolognesi, after that, they were eliminated by Atlético Junior. Their second time at an international cup was the Copa Sudamericana 2005. In the first round, they defeated Universitario de Deportes and then they were eliminated by Club Deportivo Universidad Católica.
