History
Her foray into the media came in the mid 90s on the journalistic debate program "Fuego Cruzado" in which, along with other journalists and linguist Martha Hildebrandt (member of the Peruvian Academy of Language) harshly questioned and criticized well-known and now disappeared television presenter Augusto Ferrando, whom they described as vulgar for his style on his former program "Trampolín a la Fama". This happened on a program which had previously announced a "tribute" to this popular television, entertainment, and horse-back riding character in Latin America.
Her start in Peruvian television was on 'The News' on ATV. It consisted of only a sequence of performances called "Regardless of the Consequences". Later it became its own show. Some time later it was named Magaly TeVe, and still remains the same today. The program was broadcast several times by Frecuencia Latina (Peruvian network) and then returned to ATV.
Case Prostivedettes
The most remembered for the race Medina was the scandal of the Prostivedettes, which came to filming several famous Peruvian dancers holding sex on private property. That has made her be the subject of many legal actions before the Peruvian judiciary, having been convicted criminally in the case of the ex-dancer Monica Adaro.
Other court cases
Medina lost a lawsuit for defamation to engage Gisela Valcárcel, which earned her a suspended prison sentence and payment of civil damages to the injured. In 2008, has two pending trials against her: the producer Ephraim Aguilar and the footballer José Paolo Guerrero. On October 16, she was translated to prison because she lost Gerrero's case. On December 31 2008 she was freed from prison.
Ampays
This is a controversial word in Quechua origin, used to determine situations in which someone is found against their will, doing something hidden. The success of the space of Mrs. Medina is due to the famous "ampays" (recorded with a camera hidden characters from the television and sport in compromising situations), which had won him having a program whose line is between first places, seeking thereby generating shameful and outrageous situations.
