From Perupedia
- PISCO SIN FRONTERAS: is a non-profit, volunteer run and operated organization started in August 2008 on the first year anniversary of the massive earthquake which devastated the city, destroying 80% of homes and killing around 600 people. They are giving assistance to the people who most need it by helping to build houses, schools, sanitation units and helping with other community-based projects.
- - Projects:
- Current projects: demolition, trench digging, ground clearing, concrete pouring, childcare, painting and building parks and houses (majority of projects range from helping families to rebuild their permanent homes or move into temporary ones, to building community bathrooms and helping local schools
- Upcoming projects: Setting up English language workshops for the local English teachers to enable them to improve their teaching capabilities in the classroom and make a sustainable impact on the local education system without replacing local jobs
