The Peru national basketball team is Peru's representative in international basketball. It is coached by Gustavo Debenedetti. The team has qualified for three Olympic Games and four FIBA World Championships between 1936 and 1967. The national team has never qualified for the FIBA Americas Championship. Peru won a gold medal in 1938 for the South American Basketball Championship in Lima. Peru also won two silver medals and four bronze medals in the same championship.
