  16 Days, 15 Nights
Day 1
You arrive in Lima in the afternoon. After your reception you have the option of taking a nap after the long flight or you can head out with the rest of us to the main square for some sightseeing, shopping. and paragliding over the skyline of Miraflores. In the evening the night is yours, giving you a chance to taste some of Peru's drinks and to get to know Limas' nightlife.
Day 2
In the morning we head out to La Punta in the port city of Callao. Here we meet up with our Master Diver and get equipped for a day of scuba diving. You are taken to the Isla Palomino, the largest island off of Lima with a long maritime history in Peru. On it's shore there is a huge colony of sea lions which you will be able to swim with. Their acrobatics and friendliness have made this tour a popular one, However PADI certification is necessary to dive with these amazing creatures. In the evening you are free to explore a vibrant Miraflores.
Day 3
Today we travel to Punta Hermosa, a surfing village about an hour south of Lima. Here you will spend the entire day surfing and relaxing on the beach. Beginners lesson and gear rental is included. There are many different styles of waves on this stretch of beach, according to your tastes we will relocate accordingly. You return to Lima in the evening where you have the night free.
Day 4
In the early morning we head out for Marcahuasi, we make a stop in Chosica before transferring to a bus bound for San Pedro de Casta. From this small village perched on a spectacular mountain ridge we hike for two hours until we reach the Amphitheater at Marcahuasi. This spectacular mountain summit is home to strange rock like formations. The Monument to Humanity, a massive rock dating back millennia clearly shows many human faces either carved or created by erosion on it's surface. Many UFO sightings have also been reported in SAn Pedro de Casta, the citizens of the town believe in UFOs' as much as they believe in cows. You camp overnight at the plateau and hopefully spot a UFO or two.
Day 5
After breakfast you can head out to explore more of Marcahuasi, this large plateau has ruins of up to five towns in different locations. There are said to be 7 energy vortexes in the area and many other weird rock formations to see. Many who believe in the theory of a great flood point to Marcahuasi as it's holy grail because at 12,000 ft above sea level you can find hundred if not thousands of fossilized sea shells. In the evening we head back to Lima where you can catch up on some shopping or enjoy more of the nightlife.
Day 6
In the morning you fly to Puerto Maldonado, there is a Reception at Padre Almirez International airport. Here your professional guide will await you. He will accompany you throughout your stay. From there we will go to our office to obtain the official waterway permits (you can also guard luggage you won’t need during your stay). Meanwhile you can visit the town’s main square and also take some photos of the beautiful scenery overlooking the confluence of the rivers Madre de Dios and Tambopata from Grau square. Embarkation will be at Capitania Port, the destination being our lodge. We will navigate approximately 40 minutes on the Madre de Dios River in a typical Amazonian boat.

Arrival at the Corto Maltes Amazonia Lodge. Here we will have a welcome cocktail. Afterwards you will be handed over the keys to your bungalow and we will have lunch. The kitchen of our Lodge stands out for the beautiful presentation and the exquisite tastes of the dishes prepared by our French chef.

After that you will have some free time to get comfortable in your bungalow, or take a refreshing dip in our pool.

3:30pm: It gets time to have some first contact with the jungle. On this trek you will see a large variety of tropical trees, medicinal plants, insects, butterflies and other animals. Upon return we will make a small stop at a lookout. Here you can observe toucans, macaws and other species of birds upon your return for sunset. (Duration: between 2,5 and 3 hours)

Returning to the lodge you can take a refreshing dip in the pool or have an exotic cocktail in our terrace- bar. You could also watch the sunset in the relaxing, tranquility of palm and mango trees at our port.

7pm: Before dinner we will go on a nightly boat trip, a little safari trying to spot the white caiman (caiman crocodilus) that lives in the river banks.

8pm: After the delicious dinner, those who wish can have some Smalltalk in our reclining seats or have some fun and make friends with other travelers in the bar. Another option is to take a bath in the pool (with bar) under the shining Amazon sky and marvel at the Cross of the South.

Day 7
At 5:30am we will go on a trek of about 20 min until we arrive at the parrot clay- lick. Here a minimum of five different species feeds on special clay, vital to their metabolism. It’s a truly marvelous, multicolored spectacle.

8am: Breakfast and free time to explore the splendid gardens of Corto Maltes Amazonia. We have dozens of varieties of exotic plants and flowering trees.

10:30am: Again we will navigate the Madre de Dios River. This time on an expedition destined to “Monkey Island” where some species of these interesting and entertaining animals live in freedom. Following another boat ride of 30 min we will enter the territory of the Tambopata- Candamo National Reserve. We will trek 5km through the dense vegetation of the tropical rainforest. Giant trees, snakes, monkeys, birds and sometimes even the illusive jaguar can be observed here

Our destination is heavenly Sandoval Lake. Its privileged settings are shared by numerous species of animals: Birds (in particular Hoatzins, Kingfisher, and Cormorants), different species of monkeys (Squirrel monkeys, Howler monkeys, Capuchin monkeys). At the lake itself we can enjoy the spectacle of Giant River Otters. Black Caimans and Piranhas (sometimes we can even observe anacondas in the areas covered by reed). This is also the habitat of the giant Arapaima, a fish of more than 2,5m, weighing in at +200kg. Traveling by canoe, the sunset in the lake is a spectacular unforgettable sight. On our return to the river we might be able to spot some nocturnal animals.

8pm: The body demands rest and food after an active day in the jungle. You will enjoy the exotic tastes of our meals, especially our desserts. If you still have energy left you can share moments of music and conversation in the bar whilst having a cocktail or enjoy the sounds of the rainforest surrounding you from your hammock.

After a long day full of activity you will enjoy the comfort of you bungalows hammocks. You can also recover with a massage by the lodges’ qualified masseurs.

Day 8
8am: Breakfast and free time to have a bath in the pool or maybe buy some exclusive Amazon handicrafts and jewelry in our shop.

10am: We will follow the course of the river for approximately 1,5 hours in order to visit a native community. Occasionally we can see monkeys, river turtles, caimans and various birds in the dense vegetation of the riverbanks. We will also see some medicinal plants. (Sangre de Grado, Oje, Capirona)

The “Project for the Rescue of Cultural Values” supports the local native community “Palma Real”. It is the biggest with approximately 200 families of the Ese’eja tribe.

This project, located at Gamitada island works together with two families that will introduce us to the cultural values of their ancestors, their language, their customs, their garments and their dances. In an era where globalization rapidly changes traditional societies this is a great opportunity to have direct contact with this tribe of ancient warriors and hunters. As well as a chance to support them economically with the purchase of some of their handmade products

1pm: Circumnavigating the Gamatida Island we can occasionally see animals escaping the human presence. Afterwards we will visit a chakra (local term for farm). We will get to know a variety of tropical fruits and other local products (Cocoa, bananas, café, cocona). Here we will also have lunch consisting of a typical Amazon dish.

The chacarero(farmer) will also let us taste some of the fruits that will later be taken to the city of Puerto Maldonado for consumption.

Upon return to the lodge you will surely enjoy a bath in our swimming pool; maybe with a cocktail that might also serve as an aperitif for dinner.

8pm: Dinner is served. After dinner you can retire to our bar to have some tropical cocktails, relax chit-chatting in our reclining seats at the central terrace or have a bath in the pool underneath the shining Amazon sky.

Day 9
8am: Breakfast and free time.

10.30am: Boat ride of approximately 90 min to the “Taricaya Biological Centre” (headquartered in the UK) This centre can count on the collaboration of universities from around the globe who send volunteers helping to guard and reintroduce hurt or confiscated animal s into their natural habitat. We will have sufficient time to see the animals and visit the facilities accompanied by a volunteer of the centre.

The name of the centre “Taricaya” goes back to a conservation project for the river turtles or “tarikayas” that collects, and incubates the eggs and returns the offspring back to the Madre de Dios River upon birth.(unfortunately there is a black market who is responsible for adding this animal to the list of the species in danger of extinction)

There are lots of animals to be seen: Jaguars, various monkeys, tapirs, peccaries and exotic birds such as the Pale-Winged Trumpeter.

Hurt or sick animals captured on the black market or brought from the jungle are nursed and later on returned to their natural environment. The Centre has also constructed a Canopy Walk (Suspension bridge at a height of 42m with a length of 90m, mainly for bird watching).

1pm: Lunch, afterwards 30min of free time you might want to use to talk to the resident volunteers.

2:30pm: 30min trek through primary rainforest to the Canopy Walk

3pm: After climbing the first tower of 14m we will ascend to a platform (height 42m) via the suspension bridge. Here we have an extraordinary panoramic view of the jungle. The trees seen from above, the sounds of the jungle emerging from underneath our feet and the overwhelming green for as far as the eye can see. Few times will you have the chance to experience the jungle in this unique way.

4pm: Return to the boat. Throughout the journey back to Corto Maltes Amazonia you can marvel at the sunset showing off shades of gold, pink, yellow and green creating an almost magical atmosphere. Upon return to the lodge you can refresh yourself at the pool or slow down in the hammocks. Alternatively a massage by the lodges’ qualified personnel might just make your stay with us unforgettable.

8pm: Every dinner is a chance to taste new dishes at Corto Maltes Amazonia. The imagination of our French chef will fascinate you with every dish and his desserts made of tropical fruits.

The night comes alive with animal sounds. You can enjoy this concert in our bar with a cocktail or maybe a cup of tea. The starry night sky is spectacular, especially in moonless nights when the jungle is even more mysterious.

Day 10
After breakfast its time to say goodbye to the setting and staff of Corto Maltes Amazonia. Your guide will accompany you on your way back to the city. We will pass by our office again to recollect the baggage left. Following that we will visit the local market to show you agricultural products of the region; especially fruits of the Amazon. Afterwards our personnel will accompany you to the airport wishing that your stay was as pleasant for you as it was for us to show you this beautiful corner of Peru. At the airport you catch your flight to Cusco, the capital city of the ancient Inca Empire. You head out on a private tour of the city in the afternoon. You'll have a chance to visit the Temple of the Sun and the Sacsayhuaman fortress overlooking the city. You'll also visit the main church in the Plaza de Armas, a jaw dropping sight as the interior is covered in gold and silver. At night Cusco lights up and dancing and drinking is the norm.
Day 11
You begin our trip to Machu Picchu this morning. Driving through the serene Sacred Valley of the Incas, you'll visit some ruins as well as make a stop at a market in Pisac, for those that wish to purchase souvenirs. Your road trip takes you to the town of Ollantaytambo, here you'll check out the massive ruins before catching a train to the tourist town of Aquas Calientes beneath the ruins of Machu Picchu, here you'll spend the night.
Day 12

Afterwards you have the option of climbing to the peak of Wayna Picchu or exploring the maze of ruins throughout the site. In the late afternoon you catch the train back to Cusco for the nights festivities.

At Huacachina you will have the chance to Sandboard down some of the steepest and largest dunes in the world or you can choose to enjoy the views of the desert and the Dune buggy takes you from dune to dune. You'll also have the chance to catch a beautiful sunset on the dunes, the evening is yours to relax along the sleepy oasis of Huacachina or revel in the nightlife of Huacachina and Ica.
Day 14
After breakfast we take a drive over to Paracas national park where you will board a boat and explore the Ballesta islands, which are teeming with marine life. You'll see giant pelicans and even penguins as well as the mysterious three-pronged Candelabra geoglyph. In the afternoon you visit the vinyards of Ica for some wine and pisco tasting After a thorough shower we head to the bus station and catch a ride for Nazca two hours away. At Nazca we check into our hotel, you have the rest of the evening to get some dinner and visit any of the various bars and clubs around town.
Day 15
Today we'll have a light breakfast and meet your pilot at the Nazca airport. The flight over the famous Nazca lines only takes about an hour, but it is unforgettable. Make sure you take any motion medication before boarding as the small plane maneuvers can make you a bit queasy. After the flight we head back to Lima via luxury bus, at night we toast and dance the night away to your last couple of hours in the city of kings.
